Satyapon_BODHI DHARMA ‘HALL OF FAME’

To uphold the heritage of martial art and the outstanding historical contribution of great south Asian sage and philosopher ‘BODI DHARMAWe offer ‘Bodhidhrma international Martial Art Hall of fame’ to the distinguished, dedicated and genuine martial artists all over the world as selected by the BIMHF board Under Bodhidhrma Martial Art Museum ‘Hall of Fame program’.

Bodhi dharma is a legendary Buddhist monk who lived during the 5th or 6th century. He is traditionally credited as the transmitter of Chan Buddhism to China, and regarded as its first Chinese patriarch. According to Chinese legend, he also began the physical training of the monks of Shaolin Monastery that led to the creation of Shaolin kungfu. In Japan, he is known as Daruma. His name means “dharma of awakening (Bodhi)” in Sanskrit. He is also founder of ‘ZEN’ which was pronounced as ’Chan’ in CHINA.

This ‘Hall of Fame’ aims to recognize the martial artists whose contribution behind the development and promotion of the art is extra-ordinary.

The Bodhidhrma hall of fame nominees will be selected by the hall of fame executive board every year that based on the practitioner’s dedication, any historical achievement or contribution, success in business applying martial art principles, organizational skill or charity endeavours to mankind through martial art philosophy etc.
